The Cleveland Hungarian scouts celebrated the birth of Jesus at their annual Christmas Program on December 18, 2015 at St. Emeric Hungarian Roman Catholic Church. Scout patrols and leaders from Hungarian Scout Troops 14 and 34 gave witness to the blessed Christmas story through song, verse and a Nativity play. The program was accompanied by music provided by Adam Torok-Dancso (violin, recorders, zither), Geza and Peter Balassy (guitar), Judith Horvath (keyboard) and Miklos Peller (organ).
Fr. Andras Mezei, pastor of St. Emeric Church, gave the sermon and closing prayer, which was followed by 110 scouts singing as a choir to conclude the beautiful holiday program. Afterwards, all were invited to the church hall for desserts, refreshments and fellowship. Special thanks go to Adam Torok-Dancso (intern from Hungary) and Eszter Pigniczky and Judith Horvath (leaders in Troop 34) for their efforts in arranging the program.
We wish everyone a very blessed and peaceful Christmas!
