On Sunday, April 24, 2016, seven people received the sacrament of Confirmation at St. Emeric Hungarian Roman Catholic Church in Cleveland. Amongst them were four Hungarian scouts – Erika Kovács, Katica Linder, Enese Pigniczky and Ferenc Somogyi. Bishop Dr. Ferenc Cserháti, Auxiliary Bishop of Esztergom-Budapest, (Hungary), entrusted with the pastoral care of Hungarians living outside of Hungary presided over the Mass. A full church, with about 35 Hungarian scouts in uniform and folk costumes, were present to welcome the bishop. Joseph Gyorky, scout leader and St. Emeric Parish Council President offered greetings to his Excellency. The Youth Music Group and Chorus, of which many members are also scouts, enhanced the proceedings with their excellent talents. After the Mass, a Spring Banquet, attended by a 250 people, was held to commemorate this special occasion and the visit of Bishop Cserháti.
