Cleveland’s Hungarian scouts stood guard at the city’s Mindszenty Plaza downtown as Hungary’s Defense Minister Csaba Hende placed wreathes in front of the Cardinal Joseph Mindszenty statue and also at the 1956 revolution memorial. Prior to the commemoration, Hende and the scouts attended a martial arts presentation in one of the nearby hotel’s meeting room. Later, Hende presided over the citizenship oath ceremony held at the Hungarian Heritage Museum.
