The American Hungarian Friends of Scouting and the Cleveland Hungarian scout troops once again welcomed current and older scouts, parents, supporters and guests to their annual traditional Scout Banquet. The event was held in the St. Emeric Church hall on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

More than 300 guests and scouts attended the event and 325 meals were prepared, so we can say for sure that this was a full house event. The decorations were a true reflection of the scouts’ symbols and were thus a perfect match for the festive occasion. The banquet feast included liver dumpling soup, stuffed pork loin, paprika mashed potatoes, red cabbage and Hungarian trifle for dessert.

During the program we introduced our newly trained leaders. We commemorated the now 30-year-old Hungarian Scout Center next door and introduced the audience to the Jubilee Camp to be held this summer. After the lunch, 14 baskets of gifts were awarded at the raffle. An entertaining, fun and delicious lunch was enjoyed by the many guests throughout the afternoon. The scouts thank you for your support!
